Augustus Gus Alzona was a 2012 Republican candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 8th Congressional District of Maryland. Alzona was defeated by Ken Timmerman in the Republican primary on April 3, 2012.[1]

Alzona ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Maryland's 8th District. Alzona sought the nomination on the Republican ticket, but he was defeated by Ken Timmerman in the Republican primary on April 3, 2012.[3]

The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run was January 11, 2012.[4]
