Benson received his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia in 1978 and his J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1986.[4]
Career
Prior to becoming a state court judge, Benson was a private practice attorney and municipal court judge for Tifton, Omega and Sycamore, in Georgia.[4]
