This measure was approved

This measure sought to renew the current school levy of $.25 per $1,000 of assessed property, in the county for a further year. The money from the levy would go towards helping pay for teacher salaries and benefits. School officials were worried that residents would think a new tax and vote it down.[2] This was the first time this levy would go to voters, the previous two renewals were done through the county.[3]
