Beginning operation in August 2001, the Institute of Justice, Arizona Chapter was the first state chapter of the Institute for Justice. The organization is a public interest law firm that, according to its website, focuses on "protection of private property, First Amendment rights, school choice and the right to earn an honest living."[1]
