J.R. RoBards is a judge of the 53rd District Court in Kentucky, which presides over Anderson, Shelby, and Spencer counties. He was elected in 2014 to a four-year term commencing on January 5, 2015, and that expired on January 6, 2019. [1]

General: He was unopposed in the general election on November 4, 2014. RoBards was set to compete against Laura Donnell for the seat. Education

RoBards received his undergraduate degree from the University of Kentucky in 2003 and his J.D. degree from the University of Louisville in 2007.[4]

Career

Prior to his judicial election in 2014, RoBards worked as an attorney in private practice in Shelbyville, Kentucky.[4]
