J. Derham Cole
J. Derham Cole is a circuit court judge for the Seventh Judicial Circuit in South Carolina.[1] He was elected to the court by the South Carolina General Assembly on February 5, 1992.[2][3] He was re-elected in February 2019.[4]
Education
Cole received his undergraduate degree in government and public administration from the University of South Carolina in 1974 and his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1976.[2]
Career
Before he became a judge, Cole was an assistant circuit solicitor for the Seventh Judicial Circuit, worked as an attorney in private practice, and served as an elected official in the South Carolina General Assembly representing Spartanburg County House District #32 in the South Carolina House of Representatives.[2]
