Jack Schemer
Jack Marvin Schemer was a judge on the Fourth Circuit Court in Florida. He served in Duval County.[1]
Schemer was up for re-election in 2010 and 2016. No other candidates filed for those primary races, which were to be held on August 24, 2010, and August 30, 2016. The unopposed elections were canceled, and Schemer was automatically re-elected to a six-year term both times. Schemer did not run for re-election in 2022.
Education
Schemer received his undergraduate degree and J.D. from the University of Florida. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1977.[2]
Elections
2016
Florida's 20 circuit courts all had seats up for election in 2016. Of the 151 seats up for election, 125 saw only one candidate file for the election. The unopposed races were canceled and the sole candidates were automatically elected. Of the 26 opposed races, only 10 saw more than two candidates file. [3]
