James Coachys
James Coachys was a judge for the United States bankruptcy court, Southern District of Indiana. He was elevated to chief judge on October 1, 2012, and stepped down when he retired from the court on September 30, 2014.[1][2]
Education
Judge Coachys received his undergraduate degree at Butler University and his J.D. from Indiana University School of Law.[3]
Career
Prior to being appointed, Coachys practiced law starting in 1974 in Johnson County. In 1987, he began as a Juvenile Referee until he became a superior court judge in 1989. In 2000, he took his place in the bankruptcy court.[4]
