James Franklin Davis
James Franklin Davis was a judge for the Tenth Judicial District of the District Courts in Kansas. He was appointed by Governor Mike Hayden in 1991 and was obligated to run for retention in 2012 to maintain his seat.[1] Davis was retained on November 6, 2012.[2][3] He retired from the court in January 2015.[4]
Education
Davis earned his undergraduate degree from University of Kansas and his J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law.[1]
Career
Davis was appointed to the Tenth Judicial District in 1991. Before his appointment he practiced civil litigation.[1]
Elections
2012
Davis stood for retention on November 6, 2012.[5] He was successful in his bid for retention, earning 70.9 percent of the vote with 147,399 yes votes.[2]
