James J. Tancredi is a bankruptcy judge for the United States bankruptcy court, District of Connecticut. He was appointed on September 1, 2016, succeeding Judge Alan H. W. Shiff.[1]

Education

Tancredi earned his bachelor's degree and graduated magna cum laude from the College of the Holy Cross. He later earned his J.D. and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Connecticut School of Law. During his graduate studies, Tancredi "served on the Moot Court Board of Directors and as managing editor of the University of Connecticut Law Review."[1]

Career

Prior to joining the court, Tancredi was a partner at Day Pitney LLP, where he concentrated his practice on bankruptcy.[1]
