General: He was defeated in the general election on May 20, 2014, after receiving 21.3 percent of the vote. He competed against Brian McDaniel and Vernita L. Bender.

Cain received his master's of law from Thomas Jefferson Law School and his J.D. from the John Marshall school of Law.[3]
Career
Cain is the public defender for Valdosta, Georgia and an attorney in private practice. He has also served as an assistant district attorney in the Southern Circuit and juvenile court judge.[3]
