Jaya K. Madhavan
Jaya K. Madhavan was the supervising judge for the New York City Housing Court of Bronx County, New York. He was appointed to this court in 2004 and was appointed to the position of supervising judge in March of 2007. He was reappointed in 2009 and 2014.[1][2]
Education
Madhavan received his undergraduate degree from Fordham University and his J.D. degree from the Pace University School of Law.[1]
Career
Madhavan began his career in 1995 as a staff attorney working in the Community Law Offices of The Legal Aid Society. In 1997 and 1998, he practiced law as an associate of the firm of Himmelstein, McConnell, Gribben & Donahue. He then returned to work for the Legal Aid Society (Community Law Offices) until he was appointed to the Housing Court in 2004.[1]
