Jerry Daniel
Jerry Daniel was a state court judge for the Burke County State Court in Burke County, Georgia.[1] He was elected to the court in 2000 and served until his death on January 30, 2014.[2][3]
During his time on the bench, Daniel started the county's first Mental Health and Family Violence Court. In 2006, he presided over the first DUI and Drug Court programs.[3]
Education
Daniel received his undergraduate degree from Georgia Southern University and his J.D. degree from the Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law.[4]
Career
Before he became a judge, Daniel worked as an attorney in private practice in Waynesboro, Georgia, and served as a Recorder's Court judge for the City of Waynesboro.[4]
