Education
Genchi received an A.A.D. degree from the State University of New York at Farmingdale in 1963, a B.A. degree from Long Island University-C.W. Post College in 1974, an M.A. degree from Long Island University School of the Arts-C.W. Post College in 1977 and a J.D. degree from the Hofstra School of Law in 1980.[1]
Career
Genchi began her career in 1980 as an attorney with the firm of Marchese and Sallah, P.C. She then worked as a self-employed attorney from 1982 until 1998, when she was appointed to the Suffolk County District Court. She was elected to the District Court for a term beginning in 1999. In 2003, she joined the Family Court.[1]
