Joe Nabors

Joe Nabors is a Republican and judge for the partisan Etowah County District Court in Alabama. He was appointed to the court by Gov. Robert Bentley (R) in December 2014 to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge William Russell (D). Nabors assumed office on January 1, 2015. He won election to a full term on the court in the general election on November 8, 2016.[1][2]
Biography
Before his appointment to the Etowah County District Court, Nabors worked as an attorney in private practice and served as the chairman of the county’s Republican Executive Committee and as the executive director of the Calhoun-Cleburne Children’s Advocacy Center. He also previously served as an agent for the Alabama Bureau of Investigations and as a city prosecutor for Gadsden, Ala.[1]

Alabama held general elections for local judicial offices in 2016. A primary election took place on March 1, 2016, with a primary runoff on April 12, 2016. The general election was held on November 8, 2016.
Incumbent Joe Nabors ran unopposed in the general election for the Etowah County District Court.[3]
