John D. Potter
John D. Potter is a judge for the circuit court of Jasper County in Indiana. He joined the court in 2006, and his current term expires in 2024.
Education
Potter received his B.A. from Indiana State University. He received his J.D.from Indiana University's McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis, and received a Masters in Spanish from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.[1]
Career
Prior to joining the court, Potter worked in private practice in Jasper County.[1]
2012 election
Potter ran for re-election in the 2012 election.[2] He defeated his Republican challenger Mark Van Der Molen in the May 8, 2012 primary, and received 100% of the vote in the general election.[3]
