Four of the five seats on the Santa Maria-Bonita Elementary School District Board of Education were up for at-large general election on November 8, 2016. Three of the seats were up for election to four-year terms, and one seat was up for election to a two-year term. Incumbents Linda Cordero, John Hollinshead, and Jo Ann Oliver defeated challenger Raymond Acosta for the three four-year term seats. Incumbent Vedamaria Alvarez-Flores ran unopposed and won re-election by default to the two-year term seat.[1][2]
