John L. Peterson
John L. Peterson was a bankruptcy judge for the United States bankruptcy court, District of Montana. Peterson was appointed to the court in 1964, and retired in October 1999. Prior to his retirement, he was the longest serving bankruptcy judge in the United States. He served on the court on recall status.[1]
Education
Judge Peterson earned a bachelor's degree and a LL.B. degree from the University of Montana.[2]
