John P. Farrell (Los Angeles Superior Court judge, California)

John P. Farrell was an assigned judge of the Los Angeles County Superior Court in California.[1] He was appointed by Governor George Deukmejian in 1987, and he retired on July 7, 2009.[2] After his retirement, he participated in the Assigned Judges Program, which assigns retired judges temporary jurisdiction in the event of vacancies or high case loads in the courts.[3]

Career
Prior to his judicial appointment in 1987, Farrell spent six years in private practice with the law firm of Coleman & Farrell. He had previously worked 10 years as deputy county counsel and 3 years as an attorney with the Peace Corps and U.S. Department of the Interior in Micronesia.[2]
