John B. Rhodes is a former chair of the New York Public Service Commission. He was appointed to the commission on June 21, 2017. He left office when his term ended in February 2021.

Rhodes has more than 30 years of experience in the financial sector and the energy industry. He previously worked as a partner at Booz Allen Hamilton and as the director of the Center for Market Innovation at the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC). Prior to his appointment to the New York Public Service Commission, Rhodes served as the president and CEO of the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority.[1]
