John S. Stammreich
John S. Stammreich (b. October 15, 1969) was a Republican candidate for District 28 of the California State Senate. The primary election was on June 8, 2010, and the general election was on November 2.
Stammreich served as an elected board member of the Northwest San Pedro Neighborhood Council from 2006 to 2008. He then served as an appointed board member of the Republican Party of Los Angeles County in 2008. He has served as Chairperson of the Republican Central Committee of the 54th Assembly District since 2006. He has also served as an appointed member of the Executive Committee of the California Republican Party since 2008. Stammreich has served as South Bay Campaign Chair for the Meg Whitman for Governor 2010 campaign since 2009.
Stammreich earned his B.S. in General Engineering from United States Naval Academy in 1992. He went on to receive his professional certification in Government Contracts Management from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 2004. He also earned his MBA in business administration from Regis University in 2004.
Stammreich served in the United States Navy as an Officer O-3 from 1987 to 1998. He then worked for Applied Materials, Inc. as a Material Program Manager from 2000 to 2002. From 2002 to 2006, he worked as a Program Subcontracts Manager for TRW/Northrop Grumman Space Technology. Stammreich continued working for Northrop Grumman Corporation as Corporate Manager from 2006 to 2007. He has been a Chairperson for the Central Committee of the 54th Assembly District since 2006. He has also been an Aerospace Supply Chain Manager for Raytheon Company since 2007 as well.
Stammreich and his wife, Andrea, have two children.
