- We need career training, finance classes, hands-on trades, mentorships, and apprenticeships in our schools.

Pillars of our country A short list highlighting some of the main issues that our country is facing. FAITH Pro-Life No CRT Classes in School No LGBTQ Classes in School FREEDOM No Mandates Low Taxes Less Government CAPITALISM Lower Gas Prices Reduce House Shortage Finance Classes in School CONSTITUTION Protect Constitutional Rights Secure our Border Accurate Voter Rolls
Detailed responses on many of the important issues that our country is facing. Voting No matter who you plan to vote for in this election, or any election, it is important for us to ensure that every voice is heard once and only once, and that every voter is a living and legal citizen. While I believe in the work of our election officers and volunteers, it is essential that we require voter ID to uphold the integrity of our elections. For citizens who do not drive, each state must offer an alternative ID that can be easily obtained for this purpose. Furthermore, states need to audit their current voter database to ensure information is up-to-date and accurate. States also need to implement laws that notify the Department of Elections when a citizen moves or dies in order to prevent the retention of inaccurate data. Taxes It is important for us to lower government expenses so we can keep the burden of taxation low. People already pay their fair share; for the more we make, the more we pay, even if the rate is the same across the board. When taxes are low, businesses are able to hire more employees and offer higher wages. This helps everyone in our economy. One idea I would like to implement is to require companies with 1099 employees to deduct taxes for those employees, such as Uber and Lyft drivers, in order to prevent large tax bills on people who may not know to save a percentage of their income for taxes. Police I support law enforcement for the dangerous work they do to protect our communities. This profession is necessary to maintain law and order in our society. We need to respect orders and obey, knowing the job of a police officer is dangerous; their own lives are at risk. If an officer willfully performs an unlawful action, they will be held accountable, for no one is above the law. I wish we all followed the law and respected each other’s lives and goods, but since we do not live in a perfect society, law enforcement is necessary. I stand behind our law enforcement officers and thank them for keeping our communities safe. Military I believe in having a strong military and that we should do all we can to promote peace and unity. We must look after the interests of our country and promote faith, freedom, democracy, and capitalism in our world. I also believe in supporting our veterans and helping them to make positive transitions from military to civilian life. I stand behind veteran organizations and helping veteran families with the difficulties of civilian life, whether physical health, mental health, or financial wellbeing. Jobs We need to support our businesses through low taxes and less bureaucracy so that they can offer more jobs and better paying jobs. We also need to partner with organizations that help give people the skills needed to obtain those jobs; this includes resume building, job searching, interviewing, and receiving the education and experience needed to reach their goals. No one is better than someone else for the job that they hold. All jobs are needed and important in our economy. Whether you are working in a grocery store, restaurant, gas station, retail store, factory, in construction, driving, teaching, answering phone calls, selling goods or services, handling finances, writing legal briefs, singing, acting, or playing sports, the jobs we have are a blessing, and the talents we have are a gift from God; all of it is temporary, as is this life. No job is easy, some jobs require physical strength and some jobs require mental strength, but for those willing to work hard for their dreams, in this country, anything is possible. Immigration I support legal immigration for those who love and appreciate this country, and are willing to work hard to achieve the American Dream. While I believe in helping people with temporary assistance when needed, whether they are an immigrant or a natural born citizen, I do not support illegal immigration or taking advantage of the assistance our country offers. To resolve this issue, we need to secure the border and then provide a path to citizenship for all those in good standing. Doing so prior to securing the border will only entice more illegal immigration. We also need to create entry points along the border where people can more easily receive the information and assistance that they need to legally enter this country for a better life. Lastly, we need to love and respect all people as children of God, regardless of language or race; we are all Americans. Housing As housing becomes more expensive, the dream of owning a home is often a luxury for people with large savings accounts and good credit scores. As such, we need to expand first-time home buyer programs and support renovations or new home builds. Increasing supply will decrease the housing shortage, which is a primary cause for the rising cost of housing, and increasing home ownership will grow our economy and generate additional tax revenue, thus benefiting both government and local businesses. We also need to educate people on the factors of a credit score and how to improve their score so that they are able to qualify for a mortgage and achieve this goal. Marriage As a Christian, I believe that marriage is between one man and one woman, and that marriage is a public act we do before God and man. However, I also believe that there is a difference between a Sacramental union and a Governmental union, I understand the human need for love, and I do not believe in judging others. Our Lord calls us to love everyone. Healthcare While I believe an individual payer system like auto insurance would be superior to group plans that currently dominate in our country, if we retain the current system, we should at least lower the cost of COBRA coverage and create artificial groups plans based on professions or geographic regions that provide coverage to people who do not have insurance through an employer or often lose coverage due to frequent job changes. By spreading out risk, artificial group plans will cost less than individual plans, without additional debt to the government, while supporting private industry along with the jobs that they provide. I do not believe health insurance should be mandatory, but it should be something we encourage young people to buy early by receiving lower rates than if they wait later in life, which we currently do for life insurance. Furthermore, I believe we should make health savings accounts more prevalent, so when people receive care, they are able to use a health savings account to pay for it, rather than needing to use their personal bank account for these expenses. Guns I support our Second Amendment right to bear arms, which shall not be infringed. There is nothing wrong with defending yourself, but whether a gun, sword, or knife, harming another person for any other reason in civilian life is a grave moral violation against the dignity of our brethren. I believe the biggest reason for so much violence today is loneliness, as well as devaluation for the respect of human life. We must do more to ensure our children are being guided and receive the help they need to give love, receive love, and defend their fellow man. Energy While I support green energy, I do not believe in destroying jobs or causing the price of gasoline to rise by supporting foreign oil over domestic oil, for regardless of what we do with supply, the demand will still be there. I believe in helping families to be better off, not worse. We need to support all forms of energy. Education Every child deserves a good education to help prepare them for their future. It's time we made changes to our educational system to ensure all children can reach their full potential based on their unique gifts and talents. No child who cares about their education should be left in a failing school just because their family lives in a low income neighborhood. My initial plan is to offer school vouchers to well-performing students. However, I also have a vision for a future where schools are not based on the area, but on the status of the student. I believe we should create schools that can help troubled students steer their lives in a positive direction, schools that offer special assistance to students that are behind in their studies, schools that teach hands-on trades for those that are gifted with hands-on talents, standard schools for students that are on track based on their grade level, and college preparatory schools for those who need more challenges. No child is the same and there is no one size fits all approach. We need to respect that God gave all of us unique gifts and talents, strengths and weaknesses. We also need to create mandatory courses that teach our children how to write a resume, find a job, and manage their finances, so we can prepare them to be successful members in our capitalistic economy. COVID During the 2020 COVID pandemic, I believed in balancing the health and safety of Florida, while supporting businesses, jobs, and the source of income we need to support ourselves and our families. In our continued fight against COVID, I encourage vaccinations while protecting our right to choice and privacy. We are all in different states of health, so we must respect each other and do our best to care for one another. I also recommend that we expand at-home rapid testing to prevent the spread of viral mutations. Childcare In a society where a man and woman both need to work in order to live a comfortable life, it is more important than ever to help struggling families with affordable childcare, by expanding early childhood education programs or offering lower tax rates to businesses that offer childcare benefits to their employees. Bills Too often in Congressional legislation, bills are packed with items that have nothing to do with the bill at hand. This needs to stop. All items in a bill should focus on the same subject matter. Abortion I am pro-life. I believe in the sanctity of every human life from conception until death. I also believe in supporting woman with the tools and resources they need to take on the responsibility of motherhood.[1] |
