Jon Greiner
Jon Greiner was a Republican member of the Utah State Senate from 2006-2010, representing the 18th District. Greiner initially filed to run for re-election in 2010 but withdrew from the campaign in April 2010. He was found to have violated the federal act prohibiting government officials from running for partisan office if they receive federal funds.[1]
Greiner is the Police Chief of Ogden City.
Greiner earned his B.S. in business administration/police science from Weber State University. He went on to receive his M.P.A. from Utah State University. He then served in the United States Army as Quartermaster, Basic and Advanced, and in Command and General Staff Officer Courses.

On November 7, 2006, Jon Greiner won election to the 18th District Seat in the Utah State Senate, defeating opponent Stuart Reid.[2]
Greiner raised $93,951 for his campaign, while Reid raised $37,837. [3]
