Judith Lieb
Judith Lieb is an acting justice of the Bronx County Supreme Court, Criminal Term in the 12th Judicial District of New York. She was appointed to this position in 2004. She also served as a judge of the New York City Criminal Court of Bronx County since 2005.[1][2]
Education
Lieb received her B.A. degree from Yale University in 1982 and her J.D. degree from Michigan Law School in 1986.[1]
Career
Lieb began her career in 1986 as a judicial clerk for Judge Betty Binns Fletcher of the United States Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit. In 1988, she joined the law firm of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison as a litigation associate. She then worked as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York from 1991 until her judicial appointment in 1999.
Lieb was appointed an Interim Civil Court Judge assigned to the New York City Criminal Court of Bronx County in 1999. She was reappointed to this position every year thereafter until 2005, when she was appointed to a full term as Judge of the New York City Criminal Court, Bronx County. She has also served as an Acting Supreme Court Justice since 2004.[1]
