Kathy Lape is a judge of the Kenton Family Court of the 16th Judicial Circuit, which presides over Kenton County in Kentucky. She was elected in 2014 for an eight-year term that commences on January 5, 2015, and expires on January 1, 2023. [1]

Lape ran for election to the 16th Judicial Circuit.
Primary: She was successful in the primary on May 20, 2014, receiving 31.8 percent of the vote. She competed against Robert A. Winter, Jr., Mary K. Molloy, Jason Hiltz, and James T. Redwine.
General: She defeated James T. Redwine in the general election on November 4, 2014, receiving 58.5 percent of the vote. [2][3] 

Education

Lape received her undergraduate degree from the University of Kentucky and her J.D. from the Northern Kentucky University, Salmon P. Chase College of Law in 1991.[4][5]
