  • I am not a part of the political establishment. I saw the lack of true representation on the Riverside City Council and so I decided to change it. Too often we the residents express our needs and wants to our representatives and our voices go unheard. I will be the voice for the voiceless.
  • My day to day life experience from both my personal and professional life affords me the skills and connections within the community to not just address the issues that we the people are facing in our community, I will use those same skills that works, on a broader scale to solve the issues and apply long lasting solutions. The City council person is a representative of the community. That person must be able to relate to the community ALL of the community members in order to carry the issues forward and break down the issue collaborate and ignite positive change. To do that you need empathy and the ability to put others first. You cannot be afraid to roll your sleeves up and climb into the trenches if it is the only way to serve everyone.

Its about taking tangible actions to drive positive change.

Justice as Fairness: A Restatement in which Rawls further developed his two central principles for his discussion of justice. Together, they dictate that society should be structured so that the greatest possible amount of liberty is given to its members, limited only by the notion that the liberty of any one member shall not infringe upon that of any other member. Secondly, inequalities – either social or economic – are only to be allowed if the worst off will be better off than they might be under an equal distribution. Finally, if there is such a beneficial inequality, this inequality should not make it harder for those without resources to occupy positions of power – for instance, public office.

Communication Skills: Effective communication is essential for building relationships with constituents, collaborating with other stakeholders, and conveying complex ideas and policies.

Collaboration and Teamwork: Elected officials require the ability to collaborate with colleagues, stakeholders, and community leaders to achieve common goals. Building coalitions and working across party lines are essential.

I would want to be Tiana, from Disney's "The Princess and the Frog," is a determined and hardworking young woman with dreams of owning her own restaurant. She is the film's protagonist and the first African-American Disney Princess.
Tiana is known for her strong-willed and determined nature. She is fiercely independent, driven, and dedicated to achieving her goals through hard work and perseverance. Despite facing numerous challenges, she remains optimistic and determined to fulfill her dreams.
At the beginning of the film, Tiana works multiple jobs to save money to open her own restaurant, fulfilling a promise she made to her late father. She is passionate about cooking and takes great pride in her culinary skills, viewing her restaurant as a way to honor her father's memory and provide for her community.

She is close to her mother, Eudora, who supports her daughter's dreams and encourages her to follow her heart. She also has a strong bond with her childhood friend, Charlotte, who is supportive of her aspirations. Throughout the film, Tiana forms a friendship with Prince Naveen, who ultimately learns important life lessons from her about hard work, responsibility, and true love. She undergoes significant character development throughout the film. Initially focused solely on achieving her dream of owning a restaurant, she learns the importance of balance, love, and friendship along the way. Through her journey, she discovers that there is more to life than just work and success.

Tiana's strengths lie in her determination, work ethic, and resilience. She is resourceful, creative, and not afraid to take risks in pursuit of her goals. Despite facing setbacks and obstacles, she remains steadfast in her commitment to her dreams.
Tiana is often praised as a positive role model for young viewers due to her independence, ambition, and and determination. She teaches valuable lessons about the importance of hard work, perseverance, and believing in oneself.
Overall, my view is financial transparency and government accountability are essential components of a fair and just society, where government institutions are responsive to the needs of all citizens, particularly those who have been historically marginalized and disenfranchised.
