King County Fire Protection District 10 Benefit Charge Authorization (November 2009)

The measure was approved.[1]
This measure will reauthorize a benefits use charge which will provide funding for emergency medical services provided by the fire department. The charge will be an added $1.00 to local property taxes within the district and will be in place for a further six year before it has to be reauthorized again.[2] This will lower property taxes because the current charge is set at $1.50, authorities in the district state that this is a more stable means to provide emergency services.[3]
