A Kingsburg Hospital District Sale of Assets, Measure K ballot proposition was on the November 2, 2010 ballot for voters in the Kingsburg Hospital District in Fresno County, Kings County and Tulare County. It was approved.
Measure K authorized the board of the Kingsburg Hospital District to sell the hospital facilities located at 1200 Smith Street in Kingsburg to a private developer or other qualified hospital operator.
The board of the Kingsburg Hospital District put Measure K on the ballot. They believed that the sale of the hospital was necessary in order to have acute/emergency services restored at the hospital.

| Measure K: “To restore access to acute care services at the hospital facilities at 1200 Smith Street, Kingsburg, California, including acute and out-patient medical, surgical and ancillary services, should the District approve the sale and transfer of said hospital facilities and related assets for fair market value as determined by an independent appraiser, with no cost liability to taxpayers, to Hospital Developers LLC or another qualified operator of a hospital?”[1] |
