  • Improve the progress of flooding remediation projects in my district.
  • Protect the jobs in the oil and gas industry from harmful lawas.
  • Fix Houston traffic. Through the use of technology and supproting stricter penalites for people driving slow in the fast lane.
1) Risk assessment of government infrastructure. The risk profile on our nations roads, dams, and power supply should be properly evaluated.

2) Promoting adoption and foster care programs

3) Opening up new markets of the gas industry

4) Bringing kindness to our government.

Represenative have the athority, responsisbility and accountibility to get work done in our nation.
I believe that in the next 15-25 years the existing oil and gas industry will look very different. I believe global demand for oil will be much less. I believe that the government should work in partnership with industry to open new global markets for the supply of energy. I believe that my background in the industry makes me the best candidate to transition district 7, the oil and gas capital of the world, into the new future of the oil and gas industry.
Our government should use the abundant natural resources that God has provided this country. The government should work to protect our intellectual property and technology to ensure we maintain our leading roll in global energy industry.
I would like to be a part of the energy and environment and climate change committees.
If you do not do a good job the voters need to hold you accontable. Two years is a reasonable time if your doing a good job.

Campaign website

Preston’s campaign website stated the following:

Flooding
I, KYLE PRESTON, was personally effected during Harvey when my home was flooded. I am disappointed in the slow pace of improvements. I am concerned that the money raised during the bond election will go to a patch work of projects and not into an integrated flood solution for District 7. I am concerned that the money raised will not be spent wisely. As your representative, I will work to ensure that our money is spent as it was intended to be to protect our homes and businesses from flooding. I believe my education in Civil Engineering and my work experience in the oil and gas industry makes me the best candidate to represent District 7.

Protecting The Future of Oil and Gas
I, KYLE PRESTON, believe that in the next 15-25 years the existing oil and gas industry will look very different. I believe global demand for oil will be much less. I believe that the government should work in partnership with industry to open new global markets for the supply of energy. I believe that my career in the oil and gas industry makes me the best candidate to transition District 7, the oil and gas capital of the world, into the new future of the oil and gas industry.

Global Trade Deals
I, KYLE PRESTON, believe that putting America First is the right posture to take in a review of global trade deals. Evaluating, reviewing and enhancing trade deals is a necessary step the government should take and now is the time to do it. The government should work in partnership with trading markets and industry to ensure the best deals are made for America. I believe my experience living in 4 different countries and traveling to over 30 countries makes me the best candidate to represent District 7.

Houston Traffic
I, KYLE PRESTON, spend way to much time in traffic in Houston. We have the largest freeway in the nation, and it is still congested. Self-driving cars will be available in the near future and I believe District 7 could optimize the traffic flow with smart stop lights and integrated with traffic management tools. I will work with government and industry to reduce the time you spend in traffic.

Immigration
I, KYLE PRESTON, am for legal immigration, I am against illegal immigration. We are catching on average 100,000 illegal immigrants each month at our borders. This is a problem that is on the front door of District 7. As congressmen I would work with the government to implement an effective and lasting solution to this problem.

Human Trafficking
District 7 is a main stopping point for human traffickers. I, KYLE PRESTON, will work with local government and nonprofits to support the stop of human trafficking on a national level.

Insurance Medical Care
I, KYLE PRESTON, am thankful we live in Houston, home to the greatest doctors in the world. We are privileged to have such resources at our door steeps. Having a private, portable and affordable healthcare system is what this country needs. Having the government take over the healthcare system is not what we need. Having a strategic vision and incremental step changes is the logical way to improve the system. [2]
