Larry Schack
Larry Schack was a judge of the 19th Judicial Circuit Court in Florida. He was elected on November 6, 1990. In 2008, he was re-elected to a term that ended on January 5, 2015.[1][2][3][4] He originally was set to run for re-election but decided mid-race to retire at the end of his term instead.[5]
Education
Schack received his B.A. degree from Case Western Reserve University in 1976 and his J.D. degree from Boston University Law School in 1980.[6]
Career
Schack began his career in 1980 as an assistant state attorney for the 11th Judicial Circuit. The following year, he moved to the 15th Circuit. There he served as chief of the felony division of the State Attorney's Office from 1982 to 1984. He then entered private practice as an associate of Nixon, Hargrave, Devans & Doyle. In 1985, he served briefly with Kohl, Springer, Springer, Mighdoll, Salnick & Krischer before becoming a sole practitioner. He worked in that capacity until 1988, when he became a supervisor for the Felony Division of the 19th Circuit State Attorney's Office. He was then elected to the 19th Judicial Circuit Court in 1990.[6]
