Lawrence S. Walter was a bankruptcy judge for the United States bankruptcy court, Southern District of Ohio. Walter was appointed to the bench in 2003. He retired in 2017.[1][2]

Education

Walter received his bachelor’s degree with honors from the University of Kansas in 1972, and his master’s degree from the University of Michigan in 1973. He earned his law degree from the University of Cincinnati in 1986.[1][3]

Career

Judge Walter was a partner with the law firm of Sebaly, Shillito & Dyer in Dayton and headed the firm’s bankruptcy and commercial law group. His primary practice was in chapter 11 reorganization cases representing both creditors and debtors.[1]
