The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 20, 2014. Legrand Peeples was defeated by Clare Collard in the Democratic convention. Incumbent Daniel W. Thatcher defeated Vicki Griffith in the Republican convention. Thatcher defeated Collard in the general election.[1]
