Lloyd V. Payne was a judge for the Hidalgo County Probate Court in Hidalgo County, New Mexico. He was elected to the court in 2006.[1] Payne did not seek re-election in 2014 and retired at the end of his last term on December 31, 2014.[2]
Career
Before his election to the Hidalgo County Probate Court, Payne served as a commissioner for Hidalgo County. He also previously served on the New Mexico Fire Protection Grant Council, as a chief of juvenile probation for the Sixth Judicial District, as a council member for the Lordsburg City Council, as both a lieutenant and a sheriff of the Hidalgo County Sheriff Department, and as a director of administration for Bernalillo County.[1]

Payne ran unopposed and was re-elected to the Hidalgo County Probate Court, winning 100% of the vote.
