Louise DeCarl Adler is a judge on the United States bankruptcy court, Southern District of California. She was first appointed to the bankruptcy bench on March 5, 1984. Her current term will expire on March 4, 2026.[1][2]

Education

Judge Adler attended Chatham College for her Bachelor of Arts in 1966 and Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois, for her J.D. in 1970.[3][1]

Career

Adler engaged in private practice in San Diego before her appointment to the bench in 1984. She also served as a panel trustee for bankruptcy proceedings for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of California from 1974 to 1979.[1]
