The Louisiana Jury Instruction Amendment, also known as Amendment 1, was on the ballot in Louisiana on November 18, 1995, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. This measure proposed that members of criminal juries in Louisiana should be instructed on the power of the governor to alter sentences and grant pardons in criminal cases.[1][2]
