A bond issue to fund facility improvements was on the ballot for Madison Metropolitan School District voters in Dane County, Wisconsin, on November 3, 2020. It was approved.
A "yes" vote supported authorizing the district to issue $317 million in bonds to fund facility improvements and imposing a property tax at a rate of $440 per $100,000 of assessed property value for bond repayment. |
A "no" vote opposed authorizing the district to issue $317 million in bonds to fund facility improvements and imposing a property tax at a rate of $440 per $100,000 of assessed property value for bond repayment. |
A simple majority vote was required for the approval of Question 2.
The property tax rate for the 2019-2020 school year was $1,110 per $100,000 of assessed property value. Question 2 would increase the rate by $440 per $100,000 of assessed property value.[1]
The bond proposal included renovating the district's four high schools and building a new elementary school.
Madison Metropolitan School District voters also decided on Question 2, a revenue limit increase.

| “ | Shall the Madison Metropolitan School District, Dane County, Wisconsin be authorized to issue pursuant to Chapter 67 of the Wisconsin Statutes, general obligation bonds in an amount not to exceed $317,000,000 for the public purpose of paying the cost of a school building and facility improvement project consisting of: renovations and additions at all four high schools, including safety and security improvements, plumbing/heating and cooling, science labs and classrooms, athletic, theater, and environmental sustainability improvements; land acquisition for and construction of a new elementary school located near Rimrock Road to relocate an existing elementary school; remodeling the district owned Hoyt School to relocate Capital High; and acquisition of furnishings, fixtures and equipment?
