Maine Vocational-Technical Institutes Equipment and Land Purchases, Bond Issue 7 (1985)
The Maine Vocational-Technical Institutes Equipment and Land Purchases Bond Issue, also known as Bond Issue 7, was on the November 5, 1985 ballot in Maine as a legislatively referred bond question, where it was approved.[1] The measure issued $2.2 million in bonds for the purchase of equipment and land for vocational-technical institutes. This included the allocations for equipment in the amount of $424,243 for Central Maine, $203,172 for Eastern Maine, $175,349 for Kennebec Valley, $314,126 for Northern Maine, $219,300 for Southern Maine and $163,810 for Washington County Vocational-Technical Institutes. Additionally, $700,000 was allocated for the acquisition of land at Southern Maine Vocational-Technical Institute.[2][3]
