Margaret Laurino
Margaret Laurino was a member of the Chicago City Council in the state of Illinois, representing Ward 39. She was appointed to the council in 1994 by Mayor Richard M. Daley and elected in 1995.[1][2] Laurino did not run for re-election in 2019.
Laurino was appointed to serve as the council president pro tempore in July 2013.[3]

The city of Chicago, Illinois, held elections for city council on February 24, 2015. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was November 24, 2014.[4] In the general election for Ward 39, incumbent Margaret Laurino defeated Robert Murphy and Joseph "Joe" Laiacona.[5] Mary K. Hunter was removed from the ballot.[6]
