I am a mom of 4 kids that attend Keller ISD. As a parent I have been through the stages of being concerned that our kids would be indoctrinated with beliefs that didn’t match our family’s concern that accommodations weren’t being met, fear that our kids would be left behind. It was due to those concerns and fears that I decided to be involved in my kids' schools. I might not be able to teach them, but I could support the teachers that could. I got involved in multiple PTAs, become a hall mom, a club leader, and served as a mascot. Along the way there have definitely been bumps as we learned how to navigate ARD meetings, accommodations, new schools, new teachers and kids that are constantly growing and needing a new challenge. What I have learned is that Keller ISD has some incredible teachers and administrations! As parents learning the ropes, we have had so many teachers come beside us. We have stood beside teachers and supported their decisions when our kids made a bad choice in class. We are so blessed to have teachers that genuinely care about our kids. We were happy within the bubble of just keeping up with our teachers and schools, that definitely kept us busy. Then our son got hit by a school bus. I started attending school board meetings, reached out to Fort Worth City Council to get school zone changes requested and slowly became even more involved at a higher level in the district. All of these things have led us to today, where I am running for school board.
  • Trust is lacking at every level—from the board, to staff, teachers, students, parents, and the community. Budget and finance challenges, combined with an unhealthy work environment for teachers and staff, further compound the issues. I want to build trust through open communication between schools, families, and the community. I’ll prioritize fiscally responsible budgets, find efficiencies, and advocate for the funding our schools need. Supporting teachers with essential resources and a positive work environment will help ensure every student receives a strong, focused education.
  • As a school board member, I will seek to establish trust by guarding parental rights, standing with our educators, advocating for policies that empower them, and ensuring they have the freedom to do what they do best—teach. Let’s end the war on teachers and create a culture that values and uplifts those shaping the next generation. I'll also prioritize enhancing parental rights, ensuring fiscal responsibility, and fostering clear, compassionate communication among all stakeholders. Drawing on my experience in education committees and conflict resolution, I'll work to build a supportive, transparent environment that cultivates trust, accountability, and success in our education system.
  • Texas continues to let our public schools down, leaving districts like Keller ISD struggling to keep up. We must continue advocating for funding reform to ensure our students and teachers have the resources they need. Keller ISD must remain diligent in finding efficiencies that cut costs without compromising the quality of education. I will fight for the funding our schools deserve while ensuring we make smart, strategic decisions to raise the standard of education for every student. I run an extremely fiscally conservative home, and I commit to thoroughly investigating all our options to reach a balanced budget. Budget cuts are never fun, but I will strive to clearly communicate the reason each cut is necessary.

I am proud to be a Christian, and my faith will always shape how I view public policy and make decisions. However, I do not believe in forcing my beliefs on others—doing so would contradict the very core of Christianity.

I firmly believe in liberty—that freedom cannot exist without responsibility. To me, true civil liberty is best expressed in the Declaration of Independence:

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

With this in mind, I will always stand for truth, speak with clarity, and lead with integrity. My vote is not for sale. I will uphold common-sense, moral policies that protect freedom and push back against ideologies that threaten it.
To make the best possible decision in light of the available information and to communicate clearly the reason. To understand what the unintended consequences may be before implementing any policy.
One that my kids are proud of.
To represent the people in holding the district accountable to them. We represent the community's voice in public education locally. It is important for school board members to be trustworthy, communicate clearly, and make wise decisions (even when those might be unpopular to many). A school board member should work towards a defined goal and build relationships to see it through.
My constituents are the voters in our community. I am accountable to the homeowners/taxpayers for fiscal responsibility, I am accountable to the staff to keep district leadership healthy, and I am accountable to the students to provide the best opportunities our community can support.
I plan to support the needs of the district with focused intensity on measurable goals: student achievement, staff retention, and financial solvency.
I am already working towards building a coalition of school administrators, city officials, and community leaders. I will be facilitating as much clear communication as possible between these to that we can all serve our community to the best of our ability.
Good teaching is always apparent in student outcomes. On a personal level, how the student feels about their work is as important, if not more important than any assessment result. That tends to be more intangible the further away from a student you are, so at the district level I will rely heavily on assessments based on educator recommendations and building trust between administrators and educators to swiftly address escalating issues. I will encourage administrators to empower educators and support advanced approaches, while holding the expectation that rolling out requirements before an approach is proven is unacceptable. I believe that the parents have a right to an extra measure of clear communication around such educational changes for their student.
As a district, we already have a structure for apprenticeships and technical training, however I do think that we have room to grow in the area of career readiness across many professions. We need to be preparing our students for the workplace of the future with an emphasis on both soft and hard skills.
I will establish a pattern of saving instead of spending every dime we get. Public schools should rarely bond for growth, if ever. There are times such as our current situation where a bond to get out of an insolvent position may be necessary, but I will recast vision for our district so that the pattern of bonding every few years is no longer necessary.
I continue to support the deterrence policy of placing armed guards in schools for security, though I believe it is entirely unfair for the state to require it without attaching funding to the mandate. Safety is about more than just security, it is also about facilities maintenance and I will work to ensure that our campuses are as safe as possible for our students, staff, and teachers.
Mental health is of paramount importance. We need a clear path that protects children experiencing poor mental health, but also guides our counselors to get students the services they need. I will work to provide as many options as we can while ensuring that our staff have the training and resources needed to obtain the required help for each and every student.
The ideal learning environment for each child varies wildly, however, every student should have the appropriate amount of accommodations for their learning needs. At the end of the day, public schools will always need to balance individual needs against overall minimum goals, but this can be our strength if we empower and equip our teachers with training and workloads that make sense. We should be about the business of training students to think, not telling them what to think. The ideal learning environment for any student will always involve curiosity, discipline, imagination, determination, creativity, and encouragement.
I am a parent and I will continue to help others navigate the system to the best of my ability. I will safe-guard parental rights, encourage parental involvement, and lead parents in supporting our amazing educators. My position is to empower parents with clear communication.
Maintain a healthy working environment by ensuring that district and campus leadership have the talent and resources to create and manage the best teams.
The School Board has the power to raise and lower taxes, making it crucial to balance funding public education without wasting taxpayer dollars. Navigating Texas’ complex school funding laws is challenging, but I believe we must plan ahead rather than rely on frequent bonds, which many in our community dislike. Keller ISD has already maximized local tax retention through “Golden Pennies,” meaning raising taxes further is largely ineffective due to the state's “Robin Hood” recapture program. While I don’t support sending more of our tax dollars to the state, I won’t let our district risk insolvency or state takeover. I will always advocate for lowering taxes when possible and will ensure clarity when increases or bonds are truly necessary, so our community understands where every dollar goes.
