Mark D. Thomas is a judge of the Hidalgo County Magistrate Court in New Mexico. He was re-elected in 2014 for a term that expires on December 31, 2018.[1]

Primary: He was successful in the Democratic primary on June 3, 2014, receiving 73.1 percent of the vote. He competed against Maria Sanchez.
General: He was unopposed in the general election on November 4, 2014.

Thomas defeated Martina Elias in the Democratic primary and defeated Nyla Dawn Walter in the general election, winning the election with 60% of the vote.[3]
