Mark A. Davis was a 2014 candidate for the Lucas County Court of Common Pleas in Toledo, Ohio.[1] He previously ran for a seat on the Lucas County Court of Common Pleas in Ohio in 2010 and the Toledo Municipal Court in 2011.[2]

Davis ran for election to the Lucas County Court of Common Pleas General Division.
General: He was defeated in the general election on November 6, 2014, after receiving 47.7 percent of the vote. He competed against Ian B. English. [1][3] 

2011

Davis was defeated in his bid for election to the Toledo Municipal Court. He was defeated in the general election on November 8, receiving 27.95% of the vote.[2][4]

2010

Davis was defeated in his bid for election to the Lucas County Court of Common Pleas. He lost to Dean Mandros in the general election.[5]

Davis was rated "Not Recommended" for judicial office by the majority of the Toledo Bar Association. He received 355 "Not Recommended" votes, 69 "Recommended," and 22 "Highly Recommended" votes. Candidates were rated for "integrity, legal ability, legal experience, fair-mindedness, promptness, professionalism and judicial temperament, public and community services, and other qualifications bearing upon their fitness for the office."[6]

Education

Davis received his undergraduate degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and his J.D. degree from the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.[7]

Career

Davis has worked as an attorney in private practice in Toledo, Ohio.[7]
