The Maryland Elections of County Officials Amendment, also known as Question 3, was on the November 4, 1986 ballot in Maryland as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure repealed the requirement that county commissioners and county council members be elected at-large by the entire county. The measure permitted county commissioners and council members to be elected by districts, the entire county, or a combination of these methods.
