- Promote Student Success: I will advocate for curriculum that reflects the diverse needs of our students because education is not about a one size fits. I want to ensure funding for support of programs and opportunities that equip students with real-world skills, meaningful learning experiences, and engagement. Every student deserves a path that prepares them not only for graduation, but for life beyond it.
- Strengthen Community Collaboration: Every student, staff, and Family deserves a seat at the table. I want to prioritize open dialogue through surveys, forums, and direct outreach to ensure every voice is heard. I will advocate and encourage partnerships and collaboration with local organizations and events, and build a strong culture of transparency, trust, and shared responsibility.
- Drive Positive Change and Long-Term Growth: With help from students, staff, and community members, I will help set strategic goals and policies that promote equity, achievement, involvement, and safety for our students. I want the focus to be on preparing students for success—academically, socially, and professionally.
Another key responsibility of the school board is to review and allocate the district’s budget to ensure resources are used efficiently to support students’ needs and current priority areas, such as academic achievement, staff development, and facility improvements. The board also serves as an important liaison between the schools and the broader community, encouraging open communication, transparency, and collaboration.
First, I will advocate for data-driven reviews of student participation and achievement to identify gaps in access to advanced courses, special education, and enrichment programs. Once disparities are identified, the district can take a more focused approach, such as expanding outreach and academic support for underrepresented students to ensure early identification of gifted or special needs learners.
I would also support professional development for educators focused on inclusive practices, cultural competency, and differentiated instruction so all students can thrive in diverse learning environments. Additionally, working towards equitable funding and resource allocation, especially for the schools serving those higher-need populations.
