Mel Flanagan
Mel Flanagan was a judge for the Milwaukee County Circuit Court in Wisconsin.[1] First appointed to the bench in 1993 by then Gov. Tommy Thompson, Flanagan was re-elected in 2012 for a six-year term.[2] She served until her resignation in January 2016 to serve as a Fulbright scholar.[3]
Education
Flanagan earned her B.A. from the University of Hawaii-Manoa in 1978 and later her J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1984.[2]

- 1984-1986 and 1987-1993: Assistant District Attorney, Milwaukee County
- 1986-1987: Deputy District Attorney, Dane County[2]
2012 election
Flanagan ran unopposed and was re-elected to the Milwaukee County Circuit Court.[4]
