Melanie Schaller was an at-large representative on the Chippewa Falls Area School District Board of Education in Wisconsin. Schaller was defeated in the general election on April 5, 2016.

Schaller earned a master's degree in education. She taught English language arts for 32 years and also served as president of the Chippewa Falls Federation of Teachers for 13 years. Schaller served on the district Facility Studies Committee directed to improve school district facilities.[1]

Three of the seven seats on the Chippewa Falls Area School District school board were up for general election on April 5, 2016. Incumbents Kathy Strecker and Melanie Schaller both filed for re-election, while board member Jerry Smith opted not to run. The incumbents faced challengers David Czech and Jennifer Heinz in the race.[2]
