Mike Jungbauer
Mike Jungbauer (b. February 9, 1958) is a former Republican member of the Minnesota State Senate, representing District 48 from 2003 to 2013. Before joining the Senate, he served as mayor of East Bethel from 1998 to 2002.
Jungbauer graduated from Moody Bible College in 2001. His professional experience includes working as a Lutheran pastor, a wastewater treatment manager at Rite Choice Marketing Incorporated, a contractor/builder at Rite Choice Bondsmen/M and M Construction, and a realtor at Rite Choice Marketing Incorporated, REMax, Realty Works. Jungbaur served in the United States Army from 1975 to 1976.[1]

Jungbauer won re-election to the 48th District seat in 2010. He had no primary opposition. Peter Perovich ran for the seat on the DFL ticket. The general election took place on November 2, 2010.

Taxpayers League of Minnesota
The Taxpayers League of Minnesota, a Minnesota-based taxpayer advocacy organization, releases a legislative scorecard for the Minnesota House of Representatives and Minnesota State Senate once a year. The scorecard gives each legislator a score based on how they voted in the prior legislative term on tax issues and “their efforts to balance the state budget without a tax increase.” The organization also compiles a legislator’s individual "Lifetime Score."[4]

Jungbauer received a score of 43 percent in the 2012 scorecard, ranking 34th out of all 67 Minnesota State Senate members.[5]
