|I am an attorney with almost 30 years of complex civil and criminal litigation experience. I served as a judge advocate in the United States Air Force and was a banking and finance regulator for the federal government. I was a member of the team that drafted the policy used as the foundation for the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010.
- Education is a fundamental right for our children. We must ensure they are prepared for college or gainful employment after high school. Recreation and active learning is also necessary to complement their growth and development.
- Prince George’s is a diverse community. We mustconsider the needs of all. Elders deserve to retireand age in place with dignity. Income-based rentalhousing will make living more affordable. Publicsafety agencies must be prepared to protect life andproperty.
- Elected officials hold a public trust. They must betransparent about their actions and act for the benefitof the people. When they don’t, the people should feelfree to vote the officials out. With a budget deficit looming for a second year, we must diversify the County’s revenue. Continuing to borrow is not fiscally responsible or healthy. The tax burden is too high on homeowners.
I look up to my mom because she raised four children on a public educator's salary, encouraged us to concentrate on getting an education, and taught us the importance of mental health.
As an attorney and veteran, I am an analytical and strategic thinker. I understand government operations and the law. I also appreciate the role of an advocate and representative for the people.
I just want to leave my community better than I found.
Integrity are most important for an elected official. Voters elect representatives to advocate for what is in the best interest of the people. Officials who ignore or forget that disserve our democracy.
The core responsibilities are to execute and implement County, State, and federal law in a manner that represents what is in the best interest of the residents of Prince George's County. The incumbent is also responsible for supervising County agencies and managing County resources.
I am personally passionate about improving public education, reducing property taxes, providing affordable and accessible housing, maintaining public safety, and improving government integrity.
Financial transparency and government accountability are improtant to protect the public trust. If voters and residents are unaware of government policies and procedures, and the actions taken by elected officials on their behalf, there is no real way to evealuate their performance or hold them accountable. When speding tax dollars, taxpayers should always have the opportunity to determine whether government services are valuable or beneficial.
My first job was in telemarketing. It lasted 30 days. Then, I immediately transitioned to retail.

The Holy Bible. It has a moral or lesson for every curcumstance in life. There is nothing new, and I rely on the wisdom of the past to guide my daily living.
I have a heart for the less fortunate. I struggle with denying indigent people legal representation when I Know they need.
I am not good at jokes. I tend to find humor in my own clumsiness and everyday things. I have learned that, in time, every mistake or accident I have suffered was quite comical.
Wonder Woman. (LOL)
The first historical event I remember is the election of President Jimmy Carter in 1976.
