Morris Stern
Morris Stern was a bankruptcy judge for the United States bankruptcy court, District of New Jersey. He was appointed to the bench in 2001 and sat in the Newark vicinage.[1] Stern passed away in February 2014 with a terminal illness.[2]
Military service
From 1966 to 1968, Stern was on active duty as a Captain in the U.S. Army Corps. [1]
Education
Stern received his undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering from Lafayette College and his J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law in 1965. He received his Master of Laws at New York University School of Law in 1975.[1][3]
Career
Stern began his legal career as law clerk to Hon. Robert A. Matthews of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Chancery Division. He went into private practice, spending thirty years as a partner at Stern Dubrow & Marcus PC.[1]
