The Nebraska Supreme Court Justice Term Limits Amendment, also known as Amendment 1, was on the ballot in Nebraska on November 3, 1896, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was defeated. The measure would have provided Supreme Court justices with five year term limits. The measure also would have increased the size of the court to five justices.[1]
