The Nevada State Legislature Revision Amendment did not qualify for the November 8, 2016 ballot in Nevada as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. The measure, upon voter approval, would have provided for annual regular sessions, authorized the legislature to hold sessions outside the capital, established a minimum monthly salary of $2,000 for legislators and required consent of the senate for certain executive appointments.[1]

A majority vote is required in two successive sessions in the Nevada State Legislature in order to place an amendment on the ballot. SJR 8 passed for the first time in the Nevada Senate and Nevada Assembly on April 16, 2013 and June 3, 2013, respectively.[2] The legislature did not act on the bill in the successive session.
